Kitchen Plans & Budget

Yorkminster's new Fellowship Center will feature a commercial-grade kitchen, sized to prepare and serve a meal to 450 people in 45 minutes with two interior serving lines. The 1,344 square foot room will contain an office, automated dishwasher, and walk-in refrigerator and freezer as well as ranges, grills, ovens, steam kettle, ice machine, preparation and serving lines; on the wall facing the multi-purpose room will be two drink stations for fountain and hot drinks; these are protected by roll-down 'coil' doors that can be closed and locked. Another coil door opens a tray return window into the dishwashing area.

The table below charts our progress toward funding the entire equipment list. Our initial budget has been augmented by generous gifts from individual church families as well as the fundraiser we held on November 7, 2005 with the generous help of the Newport News Outback Steakhouse.
