Men's Breakfast

The second Saturday of every month from October through May, the men of our church gather meet at 8 a.m. for a delicious hot breakfast and fellowship. A guest speaker is featured each month on a different topic.

Fellowship Dinners

Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in Covenant Hall.  We invite our congregation and the community at large to join us for dinner.  Reservations for the meal are requested by noon on Monday by calling the church office.

Golden Saints

All Yorkminster senior citizens, ages 55 to 90+, are invited to join The Golden Saints. We are young at heart and energetic, with experiences and wisdom of a lifetime, and spirits filled with the love of God. We meet at church on the fourth Monday of each month from September through May (except December) for lunch, devotion, interesting and fun programs, and an occasional excursion to a theater or a place of interest.

Jenny Russell Giving Garden

Yorkminster plants a garden each year to provide fresh vegetables for clients of the Living Interfaith Network (LINK), which provides services and food to needy peninsula residents. Anyone interested in helping can sign up to care for the garden for one (or more) week(s) from March through early December. By the beginning of your assigned week, you will be contacted by a member of the planning team to explain your duties and show you exactly what needs to be done–planting, weeding, watering, pest control, harvesting and delivery.

DOLLs

All senior single ladies are invited to DOLLs (Dozens of Lovely Ladies) for fellowship and support. The ladies meet once a month for a variety of activities.

Prayer Fellowship

The Prayer Fellowship devotes time for praise, intercession, and prayer partnership. Meetings are the first Monday of every month from 10 a.m. until noon. Host homes are listed in the church bulletin. Come join us or use request cards in the pew racks to send your prayer requests.

Prayer Shawl Ministry

Yorkminster has created this special ministry to bring love and care to those in our community who are going through difficult times. The making of a prayer shawl is a spiritual practice, which embodies our thoughts and prayers for the receiver. As we knit or crochet our shawls, we ask God's love to comfort those who will receive the shawl, and, when the shawl is completed, it is offered a final blessing before being given. Individuals that are interested in knitting or crocheting meet each Tuesday, except the second Tuesday of the month, at 9:30 a.m. in the parlor. All age groups are represented in our circle of knitters and everyone is welcome.
